Newtonmore nestles between the Cairngorm and Monadhliath mountain ranges, Outdoor pursuits found locally include golf courses, fishing on the River Spey, mountain biking, skiing, tours taking in distilleries, RSPB sites, interactive museums including the Outlander film set at the Folk Museum in the village, and the towns of Aviemore and Inverness. Shops within minutes walk. Great pubs serving very good food within 2 minute walk. Excellent restaurants and cafes locally.

In a romantic setting amid stunning scenery, made famous by the BBC’s Monarch of the Glen TV series, Baltinna West is one of two architect-designed, timber clad, adjoining properties and makes a truly tranquil holiday retreat. Oozing character and warmth, with a cosy wood-burning stove in the living room and sheepskin rugs on oak floors.

First floor – double bedroom with feature roll-top bath, wash basin and en-suite shower room. Parking. Free wifi. Logs, linen and towels all included. Available all year for short breaks Friday to Monday (3nights) or Monday to Friday (4 nights) plus the usual weekly options (Fri to Fri). Great value for couples and solo travellers.
